The series is based on the comic book of the same name, which Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson wrote.

Recently, the fourth season of the series premiered on June 13, 2014, along with the renewal of the new and final season.
The Boys Season 5 Is Expected To Have Comic-Ending With Some Intense Scenes
The show’s creator, Kripke, announced season 5 and started a countdown to the climax through his official handle X.
Though the release date has not yet been announced, Kripke confirmed to Variety that they will shoot between November 2024 and mid-2025.
In addition, many expect developers to release it in the summer or fall of 2026, based on the two-year gap between previous seasons.

The Boys follows a team of vigilantes battling superpowered individuals known as Supes. They are the individual who exploits their powers and works for a powerful company.
In Season 4, the plot reaches a cliffhanger when doctors diagnose Billy Butcher with a terminal brain tumor, starting a countdown to his demise.
On the other hand, Butcher is in a race to kill the Supes, though he is also becoming a villain himself.
Since the series stirred political situations in earlier seasons with some witty dialogue, we might see the same in the next season.
This show might include dialogues following the US presidential election in 2024, including the recent news of the Trump shooting.
The Boys comic book ends with Homelander and other Supes dying and Butcher planning to release a genocidal virus.
So, it’s possible that the series could conclude with a comical twist, wherein Homelander meets an unexpected demise at someone else’s hands.
Thus, these storylines have sparked speculation among fans that the final season will destroy some characters.
